Portfolio 1 Mid Check

 

New version of the scene. I've updated a few models from last week. There are some that still need updating. There is one mesh that is still missing which is the ivy that is shown on the walls in the concept. I will be adding this later.

  • During the first week I would be blocking out my models to be as close to game ready as possible. 
  • During the second week I would finalize and fix any models that do not fit the reference.
  • The third and final week would be entirely texturing. I do not plan to do high poly models for this and go for a low rez hand painted style.

    Common Art Sprint #1

     So for this part of the project I was in charge of looking into some of the vegetation and environmental theming. I also set dressed the first pass at the environment.We are going to go for a run down/old shrine with a courtyard within a forest. The courtyard will be surrounded by wisteria tree and a pine forest. Below are my reference boards for these.


     


     I will be reusing a lot of my previously made foliage and adjust them as needed to help keep scope down while I make more environmental props.

     

    For my contributions I created two master materials for the props and the vegetation. I am also working on a landscape material that will allow up to place textures and vegetation easily along the landscape.

    Here is the renders of my blockouts for the two tree types along with some ground foliage. There are also a couple pavers and a stair blockout that will be replaces with higher quality assets later on.

     This sprint I added the textures for the wisteria and created the better version of the pine tree.
